The story of Prophet Sulaiman (Soloman)/story of Hud Hud/crow
The next Prophet after Prophet Dawood (peace be upon him) was Prophet Sulaiman (Soloman).
Allah made him such a king that there was no one like him in the world. Because Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) himself prayed to Allah that, O Allah, grant me such a kingdom that no one can find later.
Allah made the air under Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) to go wherever he wanted with gentleness, the powerful jinns were also subordinated to him, The jinn used to build high buildings for Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him), and they used to dive in the sea to pick diamonds and jewels and those who did not listen to him were chained in prison. Allah taught him the language of birds also. This was a great favor and reward from Allah. These all are mentioned in Surah Sad, Surah Saba, and Surah Anbiya.
Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) was one of the best decision-makers. He used to make good decisions by the command of Allah. In this regard, there are many incidents in the hadiths. One incident is when two people who were neighbors had a quarrel with each other. One of them had a farm and other had some goats. By mistake, the goats went into the field and spoiled the crops. At that time Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him) was a judge, so they both came to Prophet Dawud (peace be upon them) with their case.
After hearing the story, he decided that the one who had goats should give his goats to the farmer. When this news reached Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him), he made a decision between the two of them by the command of Allah. He handed over the field to the shepherd and gave the goats to the farmer and when the harvest was ready they would take back their belongings. The second incident is that once two women brought a child to Prophet Dawood (peace be upon them) and both of them were claiming to be his mother, then Prophet Dawood (peace be upon them) said that this child belongs to the woman on whose lap he is sitting quietly.
Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) decided to divide this child into two pieces and said that one piece will be given to both of them, but she who was the real mother cried and said, "Don't kill my son, but give him to this other woman, but keep him alive." However, in this way it was decided who was the real mother. Many other similar incidents are found in hadiths.
There is an incident of an ant in Surah Nimal. “And all their armies were assembled before Solomon, the giants, men, and birds. Each category was standing separately. when they reached the ant field, an ant said go back to your houses, lest Sulaiman and his army trample you unawares. All these armies were gathered together and Allah told Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) this story of the ant. Sulaiman laughed after hearing this from the ant and began to pray that Allah grants me the opportunity to thank You for these blessings You have given me and let me continue to do such good deeds that please You and count me among the good servants.
The incident of Bilqis also occurs in Surah Nimal. Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) took care of the birds and said, "What is the reason that I am not seeing hud hud (crow)?" If it is really absent, of course, I will punish it, or I will slaughter it. Or it should explain to me a reasonable explanation. It wasn't long before that hud hud came there and said that I have brought a piece of news that you don't know about. And I have brought you accurate news of Saba, I have seen that their king is a woman. And her throne is also very significant. I found her and her people worshiping the sun beside Allah. Shaytan has diverted them from the right path. So they do not worship Allah.
Allah had given hud hud the sense of places where water comes out. Hud hud itself used to bring the news of water springs to Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him). Hearing this news, Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) was surprised and said, "I still confirm your news." He himself sent the hud hud with a letter. The hud hud reached the palace of Queen Bilqis with that letter. Queen Bilqis said that I have received a letter from Sulaiman (peace be upon him) and it begins with the name of Allah and he is inviting us to become Muslims. After consulting all the chiefs, Queen Balqis sent a messenger with her message to Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him). Along with the message, Queen Bilqis had also sent many expensive gifts for him, seeing which Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) became angry and said that we have better things provided for him.
When the messenger went back and told the whole story to Queen Bilqis, she said, "We have sent a message that we accept Islam."
Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) said to his courtiers, "Is there any one of you who, Before they became Muslims and reached me, takes his throne to me before reaching me, then a giant Jinn who said, I will do this. He took the throne in the blink of an eye, then Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) ordered to change the throne.
Queen Bilqis reached there and when she reached there, Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) took her to the throne and asked if her throne is also something like this. She said yes, it seems so.
Then Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) showed Queen Balqis a scene that no human had ever seen before to show the dominance of his kingdom. So he took her to a palace that was made of glass and could be seen from the other side. The floor of this palace was also made of glass and water was left under the floor. When Queen Bilqis saw this palace, she started preparing to protect her clothes from water, then when she put her foot on the floor, it was the floor and not water. So she was surprised and who had prepared this palace. All this incident is mentioned in Surah Nimal. Seeing this great empire, she believed that it was not just a kingdom but a prophet, so she immediately accepted Islam.
The greatest achievement of Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) is that he built the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The first construction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque was done by Prophet Yaqoob (peace be upon him). It is said in the Sahih Hadith that Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) was asked which was the first mosque built in the world, and he (peace be upon him) said Masjid Haram. Then after that, it was asked which was the second mosque built after this mosque on the earth, then the Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In addition to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Prophet Suleiman (peace be upon him) also built the Suleimani Temple, which is considered a holy place by the Jews, and it was built right next to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. There are many traditions about the virtues of Al-Aqsa Mosque. Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) said that the reward of performing one prayer in the Haram Mosque is equal to one hundred thousand prayers and the reward of performing one prayer in the Prophet's Mosque is equal to performing 1000 prayers. And while the reward of praying one prayer in the Al-Aqsa Mosque is equal to praying 500 prayers.
It is narrated in Musnad Ahmad on the authority of Abdullah bin Umar bin As that Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (May God bless him and grant him peace), said that when Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) built Bait al-Maqdis, he asked Allah for three supplications. Out of these three supplications, Allah Ta'ala accepted two and we hope that we will receive one supplication. The first question he asked was to give me a government that is compatible with your government. That is, there should be an abundance of justice and there should be no oppression and abuse on anyone. Allah accepted this prayer. The second supplication was that grant me a country that is not worthy of anyone other than me. Allah Ta'ala also accepted this prayer. And then the third question was that whoever leaves his house with the intention of praying in Al-Aqsa Mosque, may Allah forgive all his sins as if he had just been born. Regarding this third supplication, Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) said that Allah may have reserved this supplication for us.
Allah Almighty blessed Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) with a lot of power, but still he was a mortal and he also died. Allah Ta'ala wanted the death of Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) to be a lesson to the people and to let them know through his death that the jinn have no knowledge of the unseen. One day Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) subdued the jinn with strictness and they all started working before him. At that time he was 150 years old, he used to stand and watch over the giants and in the hearts of all the giants there was fear of Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him). The jinn were busy in the construction of Bait-ul-Maqdis, so he hold his stick and rested your fingers on it. In this state, he again rested his head on his palms and watched over the jinn, and Allah took possession of his soul in this state, and when he died, his eyes were open.
On the other hand, the jinn continued to build the holy mosque and they believed that Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) was watching them and that he was alive. His caliph came and he came to know that he had passed away but he did not tell the jinn and the jinn continued to build mosques for two years. The jinn kept seeing that Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) was keeping a close watch on them and was neither moving nor blinking his eyes.
On the other hand, Allah placed the termite on the stick of Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) and it kept hollowing the stick inside. Then the stick broke and Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) fell down. At that time, the jinn realized that he had been dead for a long time. Then humans also realized that the jinn does not have knowledge of the unseen. And they are also the creation of Allah and Allah is the Almighty over everything. It is mentioned in Surah Saba.
